Pumpkin Pie Sauce

So I was mulling over a way to incorporate more vegetables into my kid's diet in a subtle way (And by saying that of course I mean that I'd like to sneak undetected vegetables into my vegetablehating rugrat's every day food) and I came up with Pumpkin Pie Sauce.  Super sneaky awesome way to put a little squash into that tiny tummy. (and maybe some in your husband's oversized vegetablehating self, mmhmm?)  And it tastes like a pumpkin pie.  You're welcome!

Here's what you'll need:

1/4 cup Pumpkin Puree, unsweetened (organic is better!)
1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 Sprinkle Nutmeg

(can you smell it in your mind yet?  I need to download smellablog)






Here's the tricky part.... mix well and eat.  Was that too much at once?  Sorry, I can't talk right now, I'm eating my pumpkin pie sauce.

I like to store mine in a mason jar.  This recipe will make one small mason jar (As pictured) The reason it's half full?  Must have been the kids.
